These images capture my imagination and fill my dreams as I contemplate the European leg of our travels. Who knew travel could be so glamorous!

At this stage Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden, Norway and the UK are all packed into the 5 month itinerary (which really doesn’t seem long enough to explore all the sights, sounds and fashion of these beautiful countries). I also plan to visit Egypt, Japan and return to New York and LA before heading back home to Australia.

When it comes to travel, I love taking each day as it comes - if I like a place, I stay, if I’m ready for the next adventure I move on. Although this is my dream of travel, reality soon kicks in, (planes don’t pick you up when and where you want, hotels aren’t just waiting for you when you decide to check in) and I’m back to planning an itinerary.

If you had 5 months to spend travelling Europe where would you go, and what would you see?
I’m hoping you have some travel hotspots I can pinch.

X

P.S. I’m now on formspring.me, so if you have any questions, send them through

  1. I love the 4th picture - olive green silk, it's such an awesome basic color that is so underused.

Thank you so much for the comment on my blog, the sandwiches were so, so, so good!

  3. Seriously, if you do happen to have a bit more time in your hands, go to eastern Finland. With the blue lakes and all the green around you, it's something you don't get to experience in many other places. Summer is the number one time to visit Finland : )

  4. You are going to have an amazing time in Greece! :) That I know for sure. Personally, I love the Monaco and the south of France, if you have time swing by Monte Carlo - it's just pure fabulousness.

  11. If your summer is going to look anything like these pictures - its going to be incredibly glam! I'd highly recommend spending time in the Naples area of Italy, definitely get to Capri and Positano. Also, if you have time to make it to Majorca (off the coast of Spain), its incredibly beautiful but more low key than, say, Ibiza. I've done a bunch of European travel, so once you have your itinerary of cities nailed down, I'd be happy to give my 2 cents on sites to see etc.

  18. In all honesty, people's "inspiration" posts don't usually do it for me... it's a very personal thing. But THIS one really makes me crave the balmy summer nights of a tropical location. Thanks, Jasmin :P
As for Europe, I've always wanted to see Spain (Ibiza included to satisfy that inner party girl), Greece (honeymoon dreamin'), Italy (specifically Venice) and my home, Bulgaria (the Black Sea is picturesque). I don't like to run around too much on vacation, so I'd want extended stays at each location.
I can't wait to see your pictures!

  34. Well, I live in Portugal and I must say that it's a beautiful country. You really need to spend some time in the North, Porto, the city is amazing, and of course Lisbon and in the gourgeous beaches in Algarve, in the south. Don't forget to visit the islands, Madeira e Açores. The weather there is perfect and the nature is really beautiful.
    Hope you enjoy.

    Love your blog.

  49. Hi! i totally recommend if you visit south of france to go to Marseille, Aix en Provence and Cassis on your way to St Tropez and Monaco ... it's worth it in this area to make a détour and going to the Luberon countryside in Provence that is particularly amazing at this time of the year with plenty of cool little villages with food markets and selling the best antiques, great spot is l'isle sur sorgue (johnny depp and Vanessa Paradis have a house there), there are plenty of guide books selecting the villages and spots to see, have a fantastic trip in Europe! xx

  50. Why do those people all look so European?! They all some intangible quality - maybe it's a carefree vibe mixed with a dose of sophistication? Anyway, If I went to Europe.. I'd love to do Barcelona and Prague. Excited to hear you're coming back to LA!
